I have always wanted to make Breakfast Brioche French Toast and never seemed to get around to it. This year, I was determined! Tuesday would be the last full day of my sister’s visit this Holiday Season, so I wanted us to savor each moment. I searched online for recipes, found one I liked and headed to the store Monday evening.

While searching the aisles, I couldn’t locate the exact type of brioche bread I needed, but instead, found something called Challah bread at the bakery.  The woman working behind the bakery counter recommended this to me. It is   made with the same type of ingredients so I thought I would give it a try!  I put it in the cart and off I went to get some berries. Nothing tops off french toast like fresh berries!

Raspberries and blueberries were my picks. I wanted to keep it simple and the strawberries that were available weren’t organic, so I opted to keep it to two types of berries. Locally sourced, maple syrup and confectioners sugar were already in my pantry at home, so we were good there. I drove home excited for the morning because I really wanted to make this a special day for my sister and create new holiday memories.

Breakfast Brioche French toast makes me think of pure decadent indulgence and I wanted to savor that feeling for this Holiday season!

My sister helped cut up the bread while I made the egg batter to dip the bread. Milk, eggs, vanilla… I added my own special touch once I started cooking them up in the pan! I sprinkled Vietnamese Cinammon on top! Can you say Heaven? The house smelled divine!

I paired this with scrambled eggs mixed with some spinach for protein. And of course,  my infamous coffee that all my AirBnb guests, family and friends love! What coffee am I speaking of? Oh gosh, it’s my unique blend made from a local roaster! You can get the “recipe” here on my blog: https://kimberleybarker.net/2022/01/my-secret-coffee-recipe/
